ABOUT CHIANGMAI TATTOO TIME
Chiangmai Tattoo Time was first established by tattooist ‘Super Tong’ ( Tong )
Super Tong has years of experience tattooing in Australia and attended several international conventions overseas. All these experiences led him to his first establishment of a tattoo convention in Chiangmai ( ‘Chiangmai Tattoo Convention’ ) back in 2016. He implemented the international standards, health and safety regulations in collaboration with Chiangmai Tattoo Community.
The event was successful. We were recognized as one of the top international tattoo conventions in Thailand. Every year since then, we have participated in every Chiangmai Tattoo Festival from 2017 – 2019. This boosted our recognition both overseas and in Thailand.
Our conventions then went on hiatus for a few years due to Covid-19. Now that all the pandemic restrictions have been lifted, we believe this year is the perfect time for us to get back on track. We are working with a group of tattoo artists from Australia; carefully planning and making adjustments for this convention. We have now decided to change the name of the convention to ‘Chiangmai Tattoo Time’ to suit our new team and direction.
Regardless, the idea of tattooists organizing conventions for the tattooists is still there; to provide support and understanding for every artists’ point of view when attending this convention.

จุดเริ่มต้นของงานนี้เกิดโดย พี่โต้ง (Super Tong) ที่มีประสบการณ์ การทำงานจากต่างประเทศ โดยได้มีโอกาสเดินทางไปทำงานสักตาม Tattoo Convention ในที่ต่างๆทั้งในและนอกออสเตรเลีย จากประสบการณ์ที่ผ่านมา ทำให้มีความคิดริเริ่มที่จะจัดงานในประเทศไทย ให้ได้มาตราฐานเดียวกับงานต่างประเทศ โดยเริ่มจากการได้รับความไว้วางใจ จากชมรมช่างสักเชียงใหม่ ให้ร่วมจัดงาน Tattoo Convention เป็นครั้งแรกในปี 2016 ภายใต้ชื่องาน Chiangmai Tattoo Convention ซึ่งได้รับผลการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดี ถือว่าเป็นงาน International Tattoo ระดับต้นๆของประเทศ จากครั้งนั้นจึงได้ทำต่อเนื่องมาทุกปี ได้เป็นผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง งาน Chiangmai Tattoo Festival 2017-2019 โดยเป็นที่รู้จักกันดี ทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
จนกระทั่งเหตุการณ์ โควิด19 ทำให้ความต่อเนื่องของงานได้หยุดชะงักลง จนมาถึงปีนี้ สถานการณ์ได้คลี่คลายลง ณ ปีนี้ ถือว่าเป็นเวลาที่เหมาะสม กับการกลับมาอีกครั้งของงาน Tattoo Convention โดยในปีนี้ได้เกิดจากการรวมตัวและร่วมมือของกลุ่มช่างสักที่ยังทำงานอยู่ในประเทศออสเตรเลีย ที่คิดถึงบรรยากาศในงาน Chiangmai Tattoo Festival ที่ผ่านมา โดยปีนี้ได้เปลี่ยนชื่องานเพื่อความเหมาะสมหลายๆ ประการเป็น Chiangmai Tattoo Time แต่ก็ยังคง แนวความคิดเดิมไว้คือจัดโดยศิลปิน เพื่อศิลปิน ทางทีมจัดงานได้มีความเข้าใจดีในความต้องการของศิลปินช่างสัก ว่าต้องการสิ่งใดในการมา Tattoo Convention โดยที่เชียงใหม่ถือเป็นเมืองที่มีวัฒนธรรมอันเก่าแก่ สงบเงียบมีความเหมาะสมกับการทำงานศิลปะ เราจึงได้เห็นสภาพเมืองที่เต็มไปด้วยศิลปินแขนงต่างๆ
ทั้งนี้ ทางเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า ทุกคนที่มาเข้าร่วมงานจะได้รับประสบการณ์ที่ดีและมีความสุขจากการร่วมงานครั้งนี้ ทางผู้จัดขอขอบคุณจากใจที่ยังร่วมกัน support ให้มีงานนี้เกิดขึ้นได้
